The Committee for World Food Security (CFS) is the United Nations’ forum for reviewing and following up on policies concerning world food security. It also examines issues which affect the world food situation. It was established as a result of the food crisis of the 1970s, upon recommendation from the 1974 World Food Conference.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between GROW Africa and Private Enterprise Federation(PEF) on Thursday 2nd November 2017.
William Assiko, Executive Director (CEO) of GROW Africa and Nana Osei-Bonsu, Chief Executive Officer of PEF signed the MoU.
The Private Enterprise Federation has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Parliamentary News Africa on October 31, 2017. The signing of the MoU between the two organizations is to promote the creation an enabling environment for the private sector by influencing the passage and ratification of relevant laws and regulations affecting the business environment.
As part of the implementation of the private sector component of the Low Emission Capacity Building Programme (LECBP) in Ghana, the Private Enterprise Federation the facilitating and coordinating institution in the program on behalf of the private sector. From the two major workshop proceedings in Accra and Kumasi during the sensitization phase, it was realized that majority of the private sector participants involved in climate mitigation activities faced similar constraints with a few peculiarities. It highlighted the need for leadership from PEF to develop a platform that addresses the specific needs of the interested business entities.
The Private Enterprise Federation (PEF) has also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ghana Federation of Disabled Persons (GFD) on October 31, 2017. The signing of the MoU between the two organizations is to promote the employment of persons with disability within the country. Most often Persons With Disability (PWDs) are neglected without being engaged in any gainful employment despite their skill set and abilities.
