The Private Enterprise Federation (PEF) has also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ghana Federation of Disabled Persons (GFD) on October 31, 2017. The signing of the MoU between the two organizations is to promote the employment of persons with disability within the country. Most often Persons With Disability (PWDs) are neglected without being engaged in any gainful employment despite their skill set and abilities.
This unfortunate situation has called for a partnership between the Private Enterprise Federation and the GFD. We believe this partnership will create the opportunity to engage businesses and other relevant stakeholders in the country on issues of disability and employment. The partnership is also expected to lead towards the setting up of a National Business and Disability Network which will be a platform for engaging businesses on issues of disability and employment in the country.Â
