PEF signs MoU with Parliamentary News Africa

The Private Enterprise Federation has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Parliamentary News Africa on October 31, 2017. The signing of the MoU between the two organizations is to promote the creation an enabling environment for the private sector by influencing the passage and ratification of relevant laws and regulations affecting the business environment.

The partnership will allow the private sector the opportunity to engage legislators in Ghana`s Parliament on relevant laws and instruments which affect business operations in the country. Parliament News Africa is a civil society parliamentary monitoring organization pursuing nonprofit programmes and projects. PN Africa publish stories from Parliaments across the sub-region through various media and also run symposiums on Bill reviews yearly.

This partnership will also ensure that the private sector is always updated on happenings in Parliament which are of their interest and also make sure their voices are heard and relevant at the lawmaking institution.

The private sector will get the opportunity to engage Parliamentarians on Bills and regulations in Parliament to make meaningful inputs so as to improve the business environment through the passage and review of relevant laws and policies. This will also make Ghana an attractive destination for foreign direct investments and also position the Ghanaian private sector as the engine of growth and development.
